One summer, it must have been about 1953, we went back to Plymouth for a week or so. While there we called on the Harry Gurkins, as well as many other of the friends that we had made. The Gurkins were the people to whom we sold our home, when we moved to Ohio. The Gurkins insisted that we spend, at least part of, our stay in their Boat House Apartment at Nag’s Head, which we did and the boys had a ball, playing in the ocean. Louise and I enjoyed the ocean as well as the history around Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, Roanoke Island Cape Hatteras, etc. We had visited all of those places during the years that we lived there, but the return visit seemed just as interesting as did the first one.
